Brennan Architects provided programming and design services for this 240-bed addition to the existing facility; total capacity is now 500 beds.  The project includes a new intake/release area, public lobby, jail administration offices, magistrate's office, and video visitation area.  The building connects through secure corridors to the existing jail and courthouse, and is designed to comply with North Carolina Jail Standards, ICE, and the US Marshals Office minimum standards.

Brennan Consulting & Training Services, LLC, provided Transition and Activation Services throughout the design, construction, and occupancy phases of this project.  We developed staffing plans, post orders, and an administrative structure for the facility.  We also wrote comprehensive Policies and Procedures Manuals for the Alamance County Detention Center, which provided structure and accountability for staff and inmates, minimized risk management issues, and improved staff retention.
