Amberwood consists of a 54-bed Residential Nursing Home and 12 Category 2 Assisted Flats, all situated within an area designated as a Special Character Area.  This designation required that we work closely with the Local Planning Authority to ensure that our scheme preserved the sylvan character so important to the local area.  We conducted a character area appraisal in order to ensure contextual harmony and integrate the new structures within the established urban fabric.
