Hamadryad Road, a retirement hotel located within the Inner Harbour district of Cardiff Bay, sits on the former site of the Royal Hamadryad Hospital. Our design provides quality accommodations in a contemporary architectural setting.

The facility contains a single building with 117 studio, 1-, and 2-bedroom suites with restaurant, laundry, communal living room facilities, and level floor access throughout.  In addition, our design includes a 35-apartment Affordable Extra Care block.

Hamadryad Road uses the Cardiff Bay context and adjacent contemporary developments to participate in and contribute to the regeneration of the Bay area. We integrate the mature trees on and adjacent to the site and use mass, scale, and form to make a dramatic and positive impact on the "western approach" into the Bay. We use a central landscaped courtyard at ground level and roof gardens to enhance views and amenities for residents.

The orientation of the building maximizes solar gain, as well as natural ventilation. The building also features full disabled access for wheelchair users.
