Brennan Architects provided programming and design services for this two-phased project that involved two 64-bed dormitory housing units in Phase I and 536 beds in Phase II. Our design includes 12,000 sq. ft. of housing, plus office space for a juvenile transport section, multi-purpose rooms, and an outdoor exercise area within the perimeter.
Our Master Plan includes the design of a 3,000-bed campus, with support space to accommodate that capacity. Our design allows for expansion in 500-bed increments, with attendant expansion of support space in modules, to meet inmate forecasts for 30 years.
Our design for this Direct Supervision project applies precast concrete to the modular system and the main building structure. This approach cut nearly nine months from the construction schedule and millions of dollars from the project budget. It offered our client a higher degree of security, with building materials manufactured in a controlled factory environment and assembled on-site.
Brennan Management Services, LLC, is providing all preconstruction and construction management expertise on this project.
Brennan Consulting & Training Services, LLC, will provide Transition and Activation Services throughout the design, construction, and occupancy phases of this project.
