Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority House
University of South Carolina
Columbia, SC
Brennan Architects' design for the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority House was one of three projects in the Greek Village at The University of South Carolina.  Our design furthered the University's goals of restoring the ambience of the Greek Housing Development, providing efficient, economical residential spaces for students, and creating marketable assets for the institution.

The scale of the street front or "grand entry" facade of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority House conveys a positive public residential image, friendly yet formal.  Parking on the opposite side of the building expresses the more casual and private nature of the residence.

The relationship of the buildings to one another, the rhythm and cadence with which they proceed along the street, reinforces the sense of community and neighborhood so important to the Greek housing concept.
