The Secure Training Centre at Milton Keynes was procured by the STC under the Private Finance Initiative on a variant of the DCMF model by the Youth Justice Board.

The facility houses eighty trainees (both male and female), most having been sentenced to a Detention and Training Order.

Age groups range from 14 to 17 years for females and 12 to 16 years for males. All services relating to the operation of the STC are provided on-site including catering, education and training, primary healthcare, dentistry and programs to address you person’s offending behavior (including input from mental health and social services professionals), along with sports facilities and sleeping accommodation.

Brennan Associates was employed to act as Technical Advisors to the operators, Securicor Justice Services.

This project was completed in 2004.
